Our veterinarians have found that the sooner we can make a diagnosis, the better the recovery time for pets. We understand how hard it is to see a pet in pain or discomfort, and it is our goal to restore your four-legged family member to full health.

In-House Veterinary Lab

Being able to process lab samples on site allows our veterinarians to provide lab results before a patient leaves his or her appointment. Our in-house lab can be used to run many different tests, including:

Veterinary Radiology

The veterinarians of Northern Valley Animal Clinic use X-ray technology not only to look for broken or fractured bones, but also to examine functioning and condition of organs, to identify ingested objects, in pet dentistry to detect diseased teeth and gums, to detect joint degeneration or arthritis, and many other uses.

Pet Cardiology

Pets contend with heart disease similar to humans. From congenital conditions to damage done by infectious agents such as bacteria and viruses, detecting and treating conditions of the heart can significantly prolong the length and quality of your pet’s life.

One of the diagnostic tools we use is the electrocardiograph, or EKG. The EKG measures the electrical activity of the heart and can be used to check conditions of pulse rate, valve functioning, strength of the heart muscle, birth defects in the heart, inflammation, or malformation of the heart muscle.

Northern Valley Animal Clinic also has access to an ultrasound specialist who comes to the clinic to conduct ultrasounds of pet hearts. These echocardiographs are very useful in detecting heart disease and monitoring condition.

Veterinary Ultrasound

Ultrasound technology uses sound waves to create digital images of internal structures. We use our ultrasound for a variety purposes, including:

Screening health and functioning of internal organs
Guiding biopsy and needle aspirate procedures
